Hello my crafty friends! It's me Venus, posting here. Oh how time flies! You still haven't signed up for our giveaway? My sister and I will be drawing one lucky follower from our individual giveaway this Sunday - Mothers Day. Two chances of winnnig! So, please check out the left side bar for the goodies.

Today's post is a project that I made for my office mate, whose mom is retiring and celebrating her birthday at the same time. I call this a "wish book" rather than a guest book.

See how lovely the cover is.  This is an 8"x9" scrapbook with 20 plain white cardstock pages.

To cover the book,  I used DCWV 12x12 paper in teal and white flowers.
I  layered a green cardstock with a doily printed paper by October Afternoon.

I embellished the cover with a border punched with Martha Stewart flowers and vines; Tim Holtz rosette, foam flowers; handmade die-cut paper flowers by Sizzix sizzlits-  I misted the flowers with walnut glimmer mist; fabric flowers glittered with stickles, foam swrls, and Martha Stewart punched butterflies. The chipboard silhouette is by Maya Road which I painted with MM scrapbook paint. I did the same with the chpboard alphabets. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment "It's time to celebrate" on a piece of  cardstock then just cut around it to form a wavy banner.
